Johnakkah 2012: The Shirts are here!

Every year for Johnakkah, I create a selection of shirts to commemorate the occasion. This year is no different…except that it is. In the past, I’ve gone for simple, text only designs that were clever but not really visually appealing. This year, I’ve gone the opposite way and put some of my branding experience to good use…by jacking a bunch of other people’s brands. (Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery and whatnot…) A little birdie at Zazzle’s also hooked us up with some promo codes to use this year as well.

April 17 – Use “TAXDAYSAVING” for a 10.40% discount or login to Zazzle using Facebook to double that

April 18 /19 – Use “NATIONAL5DAY” for $5 off your shirt purchase.

So here’s the five designs I’ve got for this year’s Johnakkah celebration. Click the links to reach the Zazzle pages where you can slap these designs on just about anything:

Johnakkah goes Vegas: It’s a re-branding of the classic Vegas sign for Johnakkah.

Johnakkah goes Disney: This one’s most likely to get me sued, but I couldn’t help myself. It’s Cinderella’s castle re-imagined with fake holiday branding.

Johnakkah goes British WWII: Modeled after the famous “Keep Calm and Carry On” poster from WWII-era England, this design includes a stylish artist’s rendering of the infamous Johnakkah menorah.

Johnakkah goes crap beer: Just because the beer tastes terrible doesn’t mean that you can’t love the design.

Johnakkah goes Starbucks: Love her or hate her, nothing says “Oh shit, is it really time for John’s stupid thing again?” like Xtina. Here she takes the place of the famous Starbucks mermaid and potentially decorates your chest in all of her confusing glory.

I might add more as we get closer but for now, that’s this year’s bumper crop of Johnakkah design fun. Happy shopping!
